Your information
Privacy notice
We use as little personal information as practical. You can read weather and local information without registering or giving us your precise location.
Last updated: 21 October 2026. This notice should be reviewed again before analytics or advertising providers are enabled.
Who controls your information
NotOnlyWeather is responsible for the personal information described here. You can make a privacy request, suggest a correction or raise a concern through our contact form or email staging@example.invalid.
Business contact address: Staging deployment - not for public use
Information we use
- Saved and recently viewed locations, unit choices and consent preferences stored in your browser.
- Approximate technical information contained in ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser details, requested page and time.
- Your name, email address, message and relevant links when you contact us.
- Precise browser geolocation only while finding a nearby locality after you choose to share it. We aim to remember the locality, not the raw coordinates.
Why we use it
We use functional preferences to provide the service you request. We process contact messages and security logs for our legitimate interests in operating, protecting and improving the service, and to respond to legal or content-removal requests. Optional analytics and advertising storage will only be activated after the relevant consent.
Sharing and processors
Hosting, database, security and anti-spam suppliers may process limited information on our behalf. Weather, maps, news, event and transport links may connect you to third-party services governed by their own notices. Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical signals when the contact form’s anti-spam check is enabled.
Retention
Browser preferences remain until you clear them or change your privacy choice. Contact messages are retained only while they are needed to handle the request, maintain an appropriate audit trail or meet a legal obligation. Operational logs and backups are kept for limited security and recovery periods.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Use the contact form to make a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children and changes
The service is a general-audience weather website and does not intentionally collect children’s profiles. We will update this page when providers or processing purposes materially change.
